P8201 has given very high forage dry matter yields when grown in the open on the most favourable sites in England, and on the most favourable sites in Ireland when grown under film.
This very tall, large stature hybrid produces silage of a good starch content. P8201 has grain texture that provides an above average level of rumen degradable starch at the point of ensiling.
