Forefront® T is the most effective herbicide available in the market today for lasting control of tough perennial weeds in grassland. It gives the highest levels of control of docks, nettles, thistles, buttercups, dandelions & ragwort.
It must only be used on grass grazed by cattle and sheep as herbicide residues will carry over into grass fed fresh in a zero grazing system, or made into silage, hay or haylage. The resulting manure will affect sensitive crops if it used in their nutrition.

Renowned herbicides such as Astrokerb® and Kerb® Flo 500 contain propyzamide and are the cornerstones of many herbicide programmes. They are key to controlling grassweeds, especially blackgrass and ryegrass in oilseed rape, and with no known resistance, propyzamide can help manage and reduce the burden of these weeds across the rotation.
After a heavy rain event there is a risk of propyzamide attached to soil particles getting washed into surface water. Appropriate planning, management and adoption of stewardship practices must be followed to mitigate this risk.
Oilseed rape growers are urged to consider the actions they can take to protect watercourses. Field selection, tramline placement and buffer zones can all play an important role in effective risk mitigation.
Labels have now changed for clopyralid containing products used on grassland (broadacre treatments).
Any such products covered by the previous MAPP numbers, and which are already on farm, can be used until 31st October 2023.
The changes on the new labels are important and we would ask that the restrictions of the new MAPP labels are observed and used for the previous labels too.
The label changes are designed to mitigate against the risk of herbicide residues ending up in manures and composts which might be used where sensitive plants are grown.
Authentic and legal products undergo extensive testing and strict regulatory evaluation before being placed on the market. These development and government review processes serve to ensure only safe and high-quality products are commercialised.
However, there is a growing number of counterfeits and illegal products on the market. These illicit products compromise sustainable agriculture and also pose an unacceptable risk to human and environmental health. At Corteva, we have a global anticounterfeiting strategy to protect our customers and our brands.
A joint application is the use of a product in tank mixture or sequence with another product. Joint applications should only be made within the label recommendations of every product in the application.
Corteva Agriscience has taken an important step forward in the transition to packaging products that are compatible with the easyconnect system, which will ultimately make filling sprayers safer and more efficient.
