NEW clover-safe herbicide for 2025
ProClova® XL is a highly effective broad-spectrum clover-safe weed control solution for use in newly sown leys and established grassland. ProClova XL enables farmers to successfully establish and preserve clover populations in grassland and realise the benefits of its inclusion which range from nitrogen fixation, improvement of soil structure and biodiversity improvement.
ProClova XL:
- Kills key competitive weeds in newly sown grass + clover leys, notably chickweed, redshank, seedling docks and many others. See Tech sheet for full list of weeds
- Controls a wide spectrum of tough-to-kill weeds in established grassland where clover preservation is key: docks, buttercups, dandelions, hogweed & cow parsley
- Delivers good reliable control of broad-leaved docks
- A useful herbicide for use on grass leys that contain red clover if applied in the year after establishment

Benefits

Application
- Each ProClova XL co-pack treats 3 hectares (7.4 acres) of newly sown leys or 2 hectares (5 acres) when applying to established grassland
- Tank-mixing: It is requirement that ProClova and XL are tank-mixed to achieve the levels of weed control on the label
- Always add ProClova to the tank before XL and keep under agitation
- DO NOT tank-mix any other herbicide
- ProClova XL can be added to a spray tank containing a water conditioner (avoid ammonium-sulphate based products)
- Water Volume and Nozzles: 200L/ha water using 3* Drift Reduction Technology (DRT)
- Aquatic Buffer Zone: A 12m no spray buffer zone must be maintained adjacent to all water courses (1m for dry ditch)
- Cutting Intervals: Post-treatment = 21 days
- Stock Exclusion: Post-treatment = 7 days (in absence of Ragwort)
- Rolling / Harrowing: Avoid 10 days before and 7 days after application
- Rainfastness: 1 hour (dry leaf)
- Manure Management: No special manure management requirements
